HistoriHash Pilot Season: Score Truth, Win Prizes, Build the Canon

We’re kicking off a lean, clean pilot that rewards people who help preserve real history. Keep it simple. Keep it fair. Keep receipts.

How the pilot works

Gate

You need a Custodian of the Canon pass to earn points or streaks.
No pass, no points. Simple as that.

One snapshot

We take one snapshot at the final block of the last UTC day of the month.
Scores are calculated only at that block. No guessing. No mystery math.

Scoring per NFT

For every HistoriHash NFT you hold at the snapshot, you earn points using one clear formula:

Your final score is the sum of all NFT points you hold at the snapshot, plus any contribution bonuses listed below.

Contribution bonuses

If we publish your red-team piece that month, you get a fixed bonus:

To keep it fair and focused, we cap contributions at 2 items per wallet per month.

Final score

final_score = sum(all NFT points at snapshot) + contribution_bonus

No anti-whale curve during the pilot. We’re testing behavior first, then we’ll tighten.

Streaks

If you held a Custodian pass at the final snapshot of Month N and again at the final snapshot of Month N+1, your Month N+1 score gets a +5% multiplier, capped at +25%.
Miss a month and your streak resets.

Prizes

The Top 10 wallets on the leaderboard enter a provable draw for:

We publish the random seed for transparency:

Resets

Scores reset every month. Only your streak can carry forward.

How to participate

1. Get the Custodian pass. It’s your key to points, streaks, and the draw.
   
   
2. Collect HistoriHash NFTs you believe in. Higher rubric score and tier means more points at month’s end.
   
   
3. Contribute a piece for publication. Red-team a headline, write a brief, or ship a clean data viz. If it publishes, it scores.
   
   
4. Hold through the final UTC block. That is the only moment that counts this month.
   
   
5. Check the leaderboard. We’ll post the CSV, JSON, and draw proof so you can verify everything.
   
   

Radical transparency

At the end of each month we publish:

• scores.csv with the full leaderboard
  
  
• scores.json for builders who want to play with the data
  
  
• winners.json with the seed, closing block hash, and the deterministic draw result
  
  

If it’s not verifiable, it’s not HistoriHash.

FAQ in 90 seconds

Do I need the pass?
Yes. No pass, no points or streak.

Does trading during the month matter?
Only what you hold at the final UTC block counts for this pilot.

Can I farm contributions?
We love good work. We cap it at 2 published items per wallet per month to keep things balanced.

What if I join late?
You can still score at the snapshot. Streaks start when you hold the pass across two month-end snapshots.

How do I know the draw is fair?
We post the CSV on IPFS and use the closing block hash to generate a public seed. You can reproduce the draw.

The spirit of the game

We’re not gamifying noise. We’re rewarding the act of remembering. Hold the canon, ship useful analysis, and help build a ledger that will outlast platforms and hype cycles.

Where are we going?

The pilot is deliberately light. As the community grows, we will evolve toward a sturdier, more resilient game loop. 

• Three snapshots per month and an average score to reduce last-minute sniping.
  
  
• Gentle anti-whale curve using a square-root transform so large holders lead without running away.
  
  
• On-chain badges for Top 3 and Top 100 each month, soulbound and visible in wallets.
• Prize amounts will scale with community size and activity.
  
  
• When the Treasury is in place, we will allocate a monthly share of the Treasury to the prize pool and publish the exact figure with the Transparency Pack. Community health funds community rewards.
